Privacy Policy

Last updated 29 September 2026

Effective date: August 20, 2026

Tidis Ventures LLC ("Tidis Ventures," "we," "us") owns and operates Quill & Tankard at quillandtankard.com. This policy explains what happens to information when you use the app.

Summary

Quill & Tankard has no accounts or sign-in. Your Campaign data stays in your browser. A crash report can include fragments of that data. Amplitude and Google Analytics receive limited reports about app use. The feedback form and Mailing List receive information only when you choose to submit it. Analytics choices lets you stop future reports from this browser.

1. Your Campaign data stays in your browser

Your Campaigns, Characters, Items, Encounters, and soundboard settings stay in your browser on your device. We do not receive a saved copy and cannot read or recover it. Clearing this site's browser data deletes it permanently. Your data does not follow you to another browser or device.

2. Sounds and video

The soundboard stores a link, not the audio itself. Playing a YouTube link connects your browser directly to YouTube. YouTube's privacy policy and terms apply to that connection. Playing a direct audio link contacts the server that hosts the file. We do not control that server or know what it records.

3. Sharing an Item

Sharing an Item creates a link that contains the Item in the web address. We do not upload or store a copy to create the link. Anyone with the link can open and read the Item. Treat it as public once you share it. Your private GM notes are never included. Your browser draws the QR code beside a share link. We do not send the link elsewhere to make that QR code.

4. Analytics

Amplitude records Visits, shared Item views, and selected Toolkit actions. A Visit starts when you open an eligible page, even if you take no other action. A Visit ends after 30 minutes without activity. Opening a shared Item does not start a Visit; its view is counted separately.

A Source says where a Visit came from. We read a Source from a tagged link or classify a referring site. A Marketing Campaign is a short code from a tagged link. The person who made the link chooses these codes. We limit their format and length. We do not send the full web address or a shared Item link in these Visit reports.

Google Analytics records views of public pages, such as Home and Privacy. It does not record Toolkit or shared Item page views. We send public page addresses without query text. We may also send validated Source, Medium, and Marketing Campaign codes. A Medium describes the kind of Source, such as video or social. Google Analytics uses a browser cookie and can report approximate location. Google says it does not store IP addresses.

Amplitude also records selected actions, such as creating a Campaign or starting an Encounter. These action reports carry counts and fixed categories. They do not carry the names or notes you write. Amplitude records browser language and platform. We configure Amplitude not to store your IP address.

Crash reports are the exception. If the app crashes, Amplitude receives the raw error message and stack trace. Those details can include Campaign text or a shared Item link. We collect them to find and fix crashes.

Reports use browser identifiers. We do not attach your name or an account. Amplitude keeps its identifier in browser storage. Google Analytics uses a browser cookie. Amplitude and Google process these reports on our behalf.

Reports start On by default. Use Analytics choices on this page to stop new reports from this browser. The choice applies across tabs in this browser. Set it separately in each browser or device. Turning reports Off does not delete reports already sent. Amplitude may still send events that it queued before you turned reports Off. If you turn reports On later, Amplitude may use the Source from your earlier arrival in a new Visit. Analytics choices does not change your Campaign data or feedback you choose to send.

5. Feedback you send us

The app has a feedback form. It sends nothing until you press Send. Your message goes through Google Apps Script to a private Google Sheet accessible to us. Google processes and stores it on our behalf under Google's terms.

A submission includes your message and chosen category. It also includes your screen type, Tool, and app version. It does not include your Campaigns, Characters, Items, or the web address you visited. Your email address is optional. We use it only to answer your message. We never add you to the Mailing List through feedback.

Error screens let you copy a diagnostic report. We receive that report only if you paste it into feedback yourself.

6. Mailing List

The app may offer an optional Mailing List for product updates. Loops runs the Mailing List. Joining requires your email address and does not create an account. You can unsubscribe from any email. You can request deletion of your address at support@tidisventures.com. We handle that Privacy Request separately from feedback and act as soon as we can.

7. Scheduling a meeting

If the app offers a Meeting Link, it opens a Google Calendar scheduling page. Opening that page shares your IP address and browser information with Google under Google's privacy policy. We see only what you enter to book the meeting.

8. Hosting

Vercel hosts the app. Vercel processes standard connection information, including IP addresses and request details, to serve and secure the app. We do not separately access or store that information.

9. Children's privacy

Quill & Tankard is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The app has no accounts, and Campaign data stays in the browser. We cannot readily identify a child user. Contact us if you believe a child sent information through feedback or the Mailing List. We will delete it.

10. Your choices

You control your Campaign data by clearing this site's browser data. Use Analytics choices on the Privacy page to stop future reports from this browser. Events queued before you turn reports Off may still arrive. Earlier reports remain. You can decline feedback and skip the Mailing List. You can unsubscribe or request deletion of your email at any time.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. We will update its effective date when we do. If a change meaningfully expands what we collect, we will describe it before the change takes effect.

12. Contact us

Send questions about this policy or requests about your email address to support@tidisventures.com.

Analytics choices

Control usage and error reports from this browser. This choice applies to Amplitude and Google Analytics.

Turning this off stops future reports. It does not remove reports already sent. Your Campaign data and feedback form are unchanged.
